Does Thread Count really matter?
There is a big misconception about thread count determining the quality of sheets. I am a linen snob - I prefer to sleep on soft, luxurious sheets, and have educated myself on what makes a good quality linen. Now, while thread count does play a role in the quality of the sheet, it really boils down to the blend. You can have a high thread count with a bad fabric blend (i.e., polyester/cotton blend), and it will be either very thin and almost transparent, or stiff and hard (these are the ones you will find in cheap hotels/hospitals, and are most commonly purchased in bulk because they are cheaper). However, on the flip side, you can have a low (standard) thread count with a finer fabric blend and have a soft, crisp linen.  My standard sheet set is only 300 thread count, but it is a cotton sateen blend, which makes it soft and silky feeling, and I really like, therefore only use, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein brands because they are the softest and most durable sheets I have found that also hold up to a lot of use and washings. I may be doing it backwards by purchasing my linens at retail prices, but quality and luxury matter to me and what my clients are getting when renting from my company. I remember when I first started this business my boyfriend called me all excited and told me he found 1,000 thread count sheets for $25! I told him to buy as many as they had -- I thought I had scored huge! He brought them home, and I immediately opened up a set, only to be greatly disappointed because not only could I see my hand through it, but after a few washings they began to fall apart. They were a polyester/cotton/rayon blend. It was horrible, and I threw all the sets away, along with $200! It didn't matter - I refused to allow my clients to sleep on such cheap sheets.  I wanted a quality product, not a cheap higher thread count sheet that I could advertise to make it sound better. Thread count is the amount of threads sewn into the linen, but it does not determine the quality and softness of a sheet. Only the blend does. So, the next time you are in a linen store/department, compare different sheets of the same thread count and you will almost surely feel the difference. And in the meantime know that when you rent from my company, you are sleeping on a luxurious linen of a wonderful cotton blend, rather than just another sheet being advertised with a "high thread count" label. Thread count doesn't always really matter. 

How far in advance should I place my order?
We require a minimum of three (3) days notice. Of course, you may place your order at any time before. Some rental items are limited in quantity (especially full cribs), so we suggest you reserve your item as soon as possible. ORDERS PLACED LESS THAN 48 HOURS OF CHECK IN DATE WILL NOT BE PROCESSED OR DELIVERED. If you are trying to place an order within 48 hours, please contact us at 302/362-0876 for further assistance.

What areas do you service?
We service all the Delaware Beach Resort areas, including Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, Fenwick, Ocean View, and Broadkill. If the town in which you are staying is not listed in the drop-down delivery box, we do not service those areas. If you choose a delivery area close to the town you are staying in (i.e., you are renting in Millville, and put Bethany), an additional delivery fee of $10.00 will be charged to your credit card.

What do I do with the items at the end of our stay?
Laundry bags with the SAB logo are provided for you to put the dirty linens in, and we ask that you leave the laundry bags outside the property prior to your departure. A $50.00 inconvenience fee in addition to a $5 per bed and/or bathroom will be charged if linens are not stripped from beds and towels, bath mats, are not removed from bathrooms and returned to the original laundry bags or containers in which they were delivered, and placed outside the property. Any and all rented items should be left outside the property along with the laundry bags and any baskets. A separate order will be generated and you will receive email confirmation of the charge to your credit card for damaged or missing items. If there are damaged or lost items, you, the renter, are responsible for the replacement cost per damaged or missing item.

How do I receive the products I ordered?
We deliver the products to the rental property, and the additional delivery fee includes drop off and pick up. Due to a recent location change, and the amount of in-store pickup options, we do not offer in-store pickup at this time. This may change in the future, but the location is 5 miles west of Route 1. We apologize for an inconvenience this may cause.

What if I am renting through a private homeowner or VRBO?
We prefer to have the linens and additional items inside the home prior to your arrival, but sometimes that isn’t possible, especially when renting through a private homeowner, or VRBO. If there is a lockbox or coded entrance, please provide the access information in the respective areas of the checkout process. And if you are staying in a gated community, please provide the gate code as well. If you are given a key, delivery will be once you have arrived at the property and notify me of your arrival.

How can I know that the Baby items are safe?
We are very strict about and constantly monitor the items we offer for your child(ren). My company is registered with www.recalls.gov and I am notified whenever an item has been recalled or a claim has been filed against a certain and relevant product. If I receive an email about one of my products, the item is immediately removed from my website and investigation of alternative options is performed immediately. If you receive an item in poor condition, or an item breaks while in your care, please notify Sheets at the Beach immediately. Failure to do so will result in a replacement charge being applied to your credit card for the damaged item.

Do you offer rental periods for less than and more than a week?
We currently provide rental periods from weekends to multiple weeks. Discounts for the different rental periods range from 20% to 35% discount. The website will calculate the price accordingly per your chosen date range.

Do you offer Delivery and/or In-store Pick Up?
Yes. However, due to a recent location change, and the [small] amount of in-store pickup options, we do not offer in-store pickup at this time. This may change in the future, but the new location is 5 miles west of Route 1, and therefore might be inconvenient for clients choosing this option. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

There is an additional fee for delivery, and those fees range from $15.00 to $23.00, depending on the town we are delivering to. If you are having Sheets at the Beach make the beds, the fee is mandatory.

If the town in which you are staying is not listed in the drop-down delivery box, we do not service those areas. If you choose a delivery area close to the town you are staying in (i.e., you are renting in Millville, and put Bethany), an additional delivery fee of $10.00 will be charged to your credit card, or your order may be cancelled at our discretion. If you are renting in the Fenwick/Selbyville area, we DO NOT deliver more than 1 (one) mile west of Route 1.
